Mr. Oxford
Mr. Oxford enters his second year at Danvers and is extremely happy to return to the D.R.I.V.E. program. He thoroughly enjoys the dual role of both an educator and a mentor within the D.R.I.V.E. program. His academic strengths lie in the areas of Math and Science.
Before joining the D.R.I.V.E. program, Mr. Oxford completed a master's degree at New York University in Education Policy. His undergraduate degree is from Holy Cross, where he played baseball and captained the team. He is currently completing a second master's degree at Gordon College in the area of Moderate Disabilities. A 2007 graduate of Danvers High School, Mr. Oxford is thrilled to return as a teacher so that he can help his students to access the same opportunities and positive experiences that he did as a high school student.
Mr. Oxford's priority is to teach his students the tools that will ultimately help them to become both lifelong learners, as well as men and women for others. He aims to provide a positive and supportive environment within the classroom with an end goal of pushing students to reach their fullest potential.

Mr. Haigh
Mr. Haigh joined the D.R.I.V.E. program in 2013 to teach Humanities, specifically English and History. He is a career educator and an avid student of the arts.
Mr. Haigh has a Master of Arts in Education from Goddard College and did his undergraduate work in Political Science at the University of Vermont with minors in Philosophy and English. Mr. Haigh has worked in the field of experiential education as a wilderness guide, primitive skills trainer, and has coached skiing and sailing.
In both the classroom and in nature, Mr. Haigh seeks to invest his students with a spirit of adventure and fearlessness in pursuit of their goals. He is committed to the enduring health and well being of those around him and views education as the key to personal as well as social advancement.

Ms. Mitchell
Mrs. Mitchell started her career in Danvers in the fall of 2001. Fresh out of college, she was thrilled to begin teaching. After twelve years working at the Ivan G. Smith School, she decided to make a change and join the Special Education Team at DHS. Mrs. Mitchell happily joined the D.R.I.V.E. Program in the fall of 2013.
Mrs. Mitchell has a Master’s Degree from Lesley University and did her undergraduate work at Syracuse University studying Inclusive Elementary and Special Education. In addition to teaching in Danvers, she also spent the summers working at the Showa Boston Institute’s Japanese Program. She worked with both American and Japanese students and was able to combine her love of travel with education.
Outside of education, her passions include her family, friends, travel, running and music. She strives to include these topics in her instruction in order to encourage a balanced, healthy and happy lifestyle for her students.

Coach Spiros
A lifelong resident of Danvers and 2007 graduate of Danvers High School, Coach Spiros leads the Health and Physical Education component of the D.R.I.V.E. program. In addition to his desire to teach students how to lead a healthy lifestyle, Coach Spiros thoroughly enjoys mentoring and supporting students through times of need.
Before jumping on board with the D.R.I.V.E. program, Coach Spiros earned a bachelor's degree from Springfield College in the field of Movement and Sport Studies. He has worked as a camp counselor and parks instructor for the Danvers Recreation Department for several years.
Additionally, Coach Spiros also works as the Youth Outreach Coordinator for DanversCares, a community coalition that works to encourage the youth of Danvers to stay substance free and make healthy decisions.
Coach Spiros volunteers his afternoons as assistant coach of the DHS freshman and varsity football teams, as well as the boys' track & field teams.
